Everyone, including the Chinese, know that Trump would rather destroy America than back down. So if they are smart, and they are, they are going to find a way to allow Trump to declare victory and end the trade war with as little damage as possible.
Or, more likely, they’ll look for a way to pick his pocket while pretending to pat him on the back. Who wouldn’t, when you’re negotiating with someone so dense? Let’s not forget that China is in the midst of a hundreds billions-dollar project to bind itself closer to Europe, Eurasia and Africa via all the money they’re spending on infrastructure like the New Silk Road.
