Something Bacon said in another thread has had me thinking about the differences between my favorite albums (or songs for that matter, but that should be a sister thread) vs. what I would consider to be the best album of a certain band. Here are some examples of bands I like and how I would do them
Jethro Tull:
Best: Aqualung
Favorite: Benefit
Zeppelin
Best: Zeppelin II
Favorite: Zeppelin II
Metallica:
Best: And Justice for All
Favorite: Ride the Lightning
Ministry:
Best: Psalm 69
Favorite: In Case you Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up (Live)
You see the kind of thing I have in mind. So I am curious how many of you make this same distinction that BTG has in mind. I think it is a good one, but maybe some of you believe the best album is also your favorite in most cases. So pick some of your favorite bands and show us.
