I wondered what was going on when I booted it up yesterday. One quibble, however: mods are still locked behind the loot crates, and mods can win you credits, so it’s not strictly just cosmetics.

That sounds like good news. I’m not sure how the game is losing its mystery by removing an annoying feature.

Meanwhile, it looks like the latest Gran Turismo is going the other way.

I didn’t mind these crates.

The “buy a random car” for 70k credits was sometimes fun to do. I used many mod cards during my time with career mode. Bought a lot of “best value” packs before doing extended endurance runs on my favorite tracks.

Hmm… that might be why I burnt out on the game so fast, while I still have Forza 5 installed to mop up championships someday.

Glad to hear all those cars are being unlocked. That was the biggest complaint (other than multiplayer rammers ofc) of my Forza friends.
