On the one hand, yay more Galaxy Quest (we just rewatched it this weekend)
On the other, without Alan Rickman? That’s hard to swallow.
That was such an awesome cast, wasn’t it? From Rickman to Tim Allen to Sigourney Weaver to Tony Shalhoub to Sam Rockwell to Daryl Mitchell to Justin Long (who excelled at playing the earnest young nerd then). They just all came together perfectly.
Don’t forget Rainn Wilson!

By Grabthar’s Hammer, I’m sad Alan Rickman isn’t around for this. But I assume they wouldn’t be able to afford Sigourney Weaver either. Tim Allen and the rest of the crew maybe. But they’ll probably want a younger cast.
There is almost no chance they can live up to one of the greatest comedies ever made, not to mention the best Star Trek movie. I expect this to be a Picard-level letdown, only without the nostalgia of casting as extended cameo.
