Grammar Nazis: Drivers Ed or Driver's Ed?

I figure that if you can’t bring yourself to say or type “education”, who the fuck cares how else you butcher it?

I have a similar problem with homeowners’/homeowner’s/homeowners insurance.

It would be the latter if referring to the class, if only by convention that the singular condition is used for it.

Surely the plural of grammar nazi should be grammar nazies.

I don’t think “Drivers Education” is wrong, depending on whether you are pre-supposing some form of possessive nature of the education. I would think that if you take the view that this is education governing drivers, as in the context of some legislation (e.g. “Companies Act”), then dropping the apostrophe is fine.

I know I’m a bit late to the party - like over 10 years - but do the drivers actually own the education?

Or you could just call it a “Driving license” and disregard the apostrophe.
