You woke up this morning…
Spanish D&D theme song. Sorry, no competition:
Captain Tsubasa and David the Gnome theme songs were pretty good too:
It as also pretty cool in Weeds when they started having different covers of the theme song every episode.
Pretty crappy cartoon. They even stole the animation from Rocket Robin Hood. But the theme song is great.
Before Larry Sanders, there was It’s Gary Shandling’s Show. How many themes actually break the fourth wall?
I loved this show when I was a kid! We didnt have much Marvel back then.
I do remember these shows:
I still sing the Captain America Song
The Blue and the Red and the White and the Blue… well something like that! ; )
Oh, god, yes.
Four stone cold classics right there.
The correct answer is the theme to Fireball XL5. For a science fiction action show with puppets, they chose… a love song.
I wish I was a space man.
The fastest guy alive.
I’d fly you round the universe,
In Fireball XL-5.
Way out in space together,
Conquerors of the sky,
My heart would be a fireball,
A fireball,
Every time I gazed into your starry eyes.
We’d take the path to Jupiter,
And maybe very soon.
We’d cruise along the Milky Way,
And land upon the moon.
To our wonderland of stardust,
We’ll zoom our way to Mars,
My heart would be a fireball,
A fireball,
If you would be my Venus of the stars.
That opening is absolutely iconic!
The very first episode I ever saw, I had to watch the credits to find out who did the music because I thought the theme was so awesome.
Yikes! I kinda/sorta remember those. I think Spiderman was the only one that made it into the 70s, but yeah. I remember Thor had an alter ego with a cane he could tap to turn into Thor. That Thor approach didn’t survive very long.
