I’m more interested in the subject-matter of 1919, but I doubt I’d find anyone to play it with. The solitaire system of Peloponnesian War sounds more interesting; it requires you to switch sides periodically? I kinda like that idea.
Agree on subject matter. But a bit too Euro-ey for me from the sounds of things. If it plays like Republic of Rome or,say Kremlin, well…that would perk me up.
I had the original Peloponnesian War but it got throw out during the great game purge about 10 years ago when I cleaned out a lot of my old games. Can’t really even remember playing it.
Just wanted everyone to know that the Board Historical Wargame Threat Center (BHWTC) has upped the Wallet Threat Alert Level in a Special Announcement today, It increased from Preachy Woodrow Wilson to Crazy Young Winston Churchill, so that’s significant.
They maybe targeting @Brooski with Skies Above The Reich, so everyone, be careful out there today.
So on this anniversary of the German air assault on Crete… was wondering if there are any PC games that model that invasion? The only game I’m aware of is Conquest of the Aegean, but that game is pretty old. From what I can tell, I don’t think that Panther included any Crete scenarios in their Command Ops 2 product.
It’s not released yet, but the next Panzer Battles game from John Tiller Software will be on N. Africa and Crete, so that is the one I’m awaiting. It’s a new and attractive series from JTS at the platoon scale.
