GW Bush Vs GW Bush - and the winner is?

I’m not sure how I feel about Dean yet, but don’t pick one often quoted soundbite and claim it’s Dean’s “policy on defense.” I suggest reading some of his proposed policies - including much more spending on homeland defense, ramping up the war against terrorism (primarily Al Qaeda), and focusing our international policy on forcing North Korea to disarm.

The thing I like about Dean is that he is fairly specific about his goals and how he intends to achieve them, and he speaks his mind. I like that he is criticizing Bush’s policies in a time when it has been unpopular to do so, and that he seems to have strong ideas that, though they will be unsavory to many (same sex couple rights, for example), are not the typical “I will please everyone” rhetoric that is too common. I also liked the speech where he said he is from the “democratic wing of the democratic party.”

Next time I vote for President, I’m going to vote for the one with the most stylish remarks and coolest, most introspective attitudes, and different appeal than the last five President’s. Dean sounds like a really awesome guy. I mean, isn’t that what we want in a President? Someone who’s quotable, someone who’s out of the norm, someone who isn’t what we expect, right? He’ll be great.

Christ, you fucks. You think that because someone said they’re from the democratic wing of the democratic party makes them clever and worthy of being President? Have you schmoes ever actually seen that asshat speak? Christ! I’m going to go find myself a cross of gold to smack you dumbo no-nothing’s in the face with because you’re making William Jennings Bryan roll over in his grave.

Wow, that’s funny. I thought I said I liked him because he had strong ideas. I’ll admit I haven’t seen him speak. But I’ve read his speeches, and I like much of what he has to say. Mostly because he is specific, and doesn’t say things like “we need to insure that all Americans have healthcare…” but rather explains his proposals, which largely make sense.

And, frankly, I do think a president who is different than the last four or five would make for a good change. I don’t know if I’ll vote for Dean, but he’s certainly more appealing to me, at this point, than Kerry.

He gets a bit yelly, and I’m not sure how that’d go over. On policy, though, he’s golden.

I’d actually rather vote for a candidate who engages in ludicrous, unfounded personal attacks during a perfectly civil debate. Preferably one who thinks that swear-words are funny.

Hey–you’re not running, are you?

Oh yes: at this point, I’d vote for fucking Al Sharpton over Bush.

I’d vote for Gary Coleman over Bush - at least he knows he’s not tall enough to be president…

Swear words are funny. Especially cockmonkey. And stumblefuck.

Though I had a tendency to tune out many of the politics of Vermont, absolutely.

He alienated the Democratic party here because he isn’t liberal enough, but the Dems are largely based out of Burlington here and are pretty much rich yuppie/hippie socialists. (Our rep in the house, Bernie Sanders, is an “independent” but really a socialist, and the mayor of B-ton is “progressive” and wears dresses during parades. This is an odd place.)

He comes across as smug, and most say he is, and he definitely isn’t afraid of attacking opponents in his typically blunt manner. He’s also an incredibly smart guy, and can go into great detail about every one of his policies.

I have to study his national policies a little more closely. I have no issues with his opposition to war, and I definitely support his willingness to go after Bush and his fellow Dems.

So you’re saying he isn’t a womanizing Jesus freak recovering alcoholic Alzheimer’s victim draft-dodger? Doesn’t sound very qualified for the top office to me…

He can also form complete sentences so he has no “common man” appeal. He’s doomed.

Touche.

But, unfortunately, I hate to say this: By biting into me, you’re not qualified to lead either.

Kthxbye.
