Just noticed this happens when using third party USB extender and AC plug. Was driving me nuts for a few months. Using straight plug to USB or official Apple wall warts don’t exhibit same problem. I thought I was just motor-skill-impaired all those mornings I couldn’t in swipe to turn off alarm on iPhone connected by extender.
