Yeah, I totally get what you’re saying; I’m in a similar situation. This is a solo-only game for me too. (Though we did have a forum game here of the first edition a few years ago and it went great.) I guess I just meant that it doesn’t alter the main rules of the game as some solitaire variants do, though as you say it does interact with all of them and fundamentally changes how the game is played. Though again, if you learn to play against the crown, you will be ready to play against other players. From the player’s perspective, except for managing the AI and trading favor cubes, the game is the same.
