Lights Out, the first full-length directorial debut of David F. Sandberg, the guy that gave us Kung Fury.
It’s based on Sandberg’s own short of the same name.
The short is a terrifically executed (if not terribly original) piece of work. You could barely strip it down to it’s essence any further.
Stretching these out to feature-length often fails to work out. Here’s hoping.
By the by, if you’re in the Bay Area, they’ve got free screenings of this at the Metreon in SF. At least they did as of an hour ago. I grabbed a couple that are good for Monday night.
