I got perhaps a bit excited because it is a great game for diverse medium to large groups. It is available for ipad and some mobile systems or Firestick etc. it is played using mobile too. So it isn’t strictly a mobile game, you need a device other than phone to run it, but I didn’t realize what thread this was when I answered.
We pull this out all the time: at restaurants while waiting for food, at parties, with kids in the evening, at family gatherings. It’s a blast, especially the “Act it Out” decks.
I’ll be honest, I’ll never play the game, but this ad came up and I almost clicked out of it… but holy crap… glad I didn’t… it’s probably the best WW2 war porn I’ve even seen. Amazing musical track, incredibly well done live action cinematic and montage movie making. 5 minutes of blowing my mind… phew. Play it loud.
Who knows what the game is though, I don’t even have a smartphone.
The makers of Retro Bowl have announced a soccer game, Retro Goal:
Introducing "Retro Goal" our love letter to 16-bit football. If you have an iOS device, you will be able to play next Thursday, 24th June. Android to follow very soon after. No adverts. Play the first 10 matches for free before unlocking the rest of the game. Any questions? pic.twitter.com/JwyGU1k7sF
Is anyone else playing Baseball 9? It’s a decent single player mobile baseball game, graphics are cartoony rather than pixel like in the retro series. I’m playing on Android.
You do the pitching and batting, fielding is more or less automatic. Games take 15 min or so. I’m in my first season (which appears to be 42 games long). After 10 games, I’m 9-1. Once I figured out the batting, I’m routinely scoring 10+ runs/game. I think it should get harder once I progress to a higher league.
Hasn’t shown me any ads, although it pushes IAP somewhat (upgraded players, etc).
