That’s hilarious, I had no idea Omni was a Penthouse publication. My parents subscribed to that for me when I was a kid, I wonder if they knew.
I don’t think it ever launched. I remember in the summer of 09 people were wondering if it would ever evolve past a coming soon sign that had been on there since before the mag closed down.
Whoa! Never knew they were related. Now that think about it, they even used the same typeface for their articles, didn’t they? I remember that because I always read Penthouse for the articles.
Omni used to run stories using black type on silver pages too. It seemed so futuristic and neat, but now that my eyes are a bit older it would probably drive me nuts.
Some interesting stories though- early Walter Jon Williams, among others.
