If I were new to this forum, this long drawn out argument in response to a simple welcome gif would be enough to get me running for the hills.
I think this little back-and-forth has actually been a good micro representation of our forum: we will argue about literally anything. If that’s not your bag, well there might be somewhere else that’s a better fit.
Maybe we should do this like you would years ago or maybe still today, have an second topic to discuss these things instead of in this one, the one where we expect new members to actually post.
