I started playing Animal Crossing with Wild World on the DS, then have loads of hours with New Leaf on the 3DS. I’ve briefly played the older games, but definitely have more hours on New Leaf than anything else. That said, as far as I can remember, that’s always how it’s been… multiple players in the same town on one console. I don’t know if the original versions did it differently, but I suspect not.
I cannot wait for this game. I’ve been wanting a new “proper” Animal Crossing for sooo long, and Happy Home Designer and Pocket Camp did not scratch that itch at all.
My absolute favorite thing in the Direct was the shots of the museum… oh my god, it looks absolutely gorgeous. I so cannot wait to start filling that place up with fish, bugs and fossils. :D :D :D
