It’s not hard to absorb, mostly. You’ll be ok especially with plenty of people here to answer questions. Pausing and licking on things in the combat log will be very useful.
Also, if you want someone to be good at (1) shooting things at range with a martial implement (2) shooting things at range with certain types of spells (most prominently, rays, but also things like “acid splash”. . . anything that makes ranged touch attacks), you need to take Point Blank Shot and Precise Shot ASAFP.
