Ah, that would make sense, thank you! It’s super obvious now that I’ve seen it, but google pointed me into the direction of the bridge pins and I was stuck thinking of furniture or toys. That also explains why these things just keep on showing up relentlessly, since the female household member go through tons of hairbrushes.
I was thinking cribbage pins but the brush explanation makes more sense!
