Some Incremental/Idle/Clicker Games (including really a lot of Incremental Epic Hero 2)

Yeah I saw some of that. Apparently you keep gear, and there’s a chance to do some nifty enchanting to make getting back up to speed much easier. I’ve unlocked enchanting but haven’t messed with it yet. I’ve been rotating between 3 characters, which is probably suboptimal but I’ve enjoyed it.

How easy it is to farm the necessary gear (you need to find gear with the enchants you want, take those off, find gear you want to use that’s enchanted, strip those and replace, I think) I can’t say. I accidentally nuked my entire inventory hitting the wrong key sequence (which is not something you can accidentally, do, I just got two different commands transposed in my head), and lost some nice stuff. Heh.

Yes, this is me, except 4 characters. The thief unlocks enchantment slot(s) when they level 10 master an item, which seems like it makes the item persist through ascension. So I’m playing that champ mostly to level up at least some of my gear to keep it around - though I’d bet you can refind all of the gear quickly as after all one of the ways you earn ascension points is to disassemble a shit-ton of gear. So your keyboard press just got you some portion of your ascension points!

Right so i’ve got my first 10 normal slimes captured and they are picking up resources yay!. Will the same net work with blue slimes etc?

Every pet does different stuff. Take a look at the Beastiary and you can see all the critters you’ve encountered so far and what they’d do for you.

Later on other features unlock that let you use your pets in other ways aside from their passive bonuses and automation.

Perhaps I worded that poorly. Will the basic net I have now work with slimes that arent explicitly called normal slimes? The net says right click to capture normal type monsters. Are blue slimes normal type monsters?

Pretend “normal” is a color, and each critter has a color. You need a specific type of net to capture each color.

thank you good sir

Oooh nice, I need to get back to leveling my guild consistently so I can get thief.

I did my first tier 2 rebirth on the warrior today and he’s already back at level 180something. I think I may get him to 200 again for another before I resume doing tier 1 runs. I need to get the auto rebirth pet, obviously.

And you need to get the temple in town going to lower the level that you can rebirth at! Why wait for level 200 when you can rebirth at level 180? (yeah yeah, there are times when you want to go levels above 200 to get the ability bonus, but below 200 it’s all skill levels.)

I’m currently pushing warrior basic attack skill to 250 to get that extra slot, and they are level 231. While that’s going, I have 2 heroes auto rebirthing (level 1) in the background. Guild XP flows in almost constantly, it’s pretty nice.

I just started working on that temple research today in fact (indeed, I forgot I had turned it on until you mentioned it).

I purchased equipment tenacity from the epic store with my first batch of earned (by playing) currency after maxing out all the “get MOAR/BETTAH quests” stuff. It’s freakin’ busted, as it allows you to wear equipment you couldn’t normally use, and more importantly you can level that equipment.

This lets your auto-rebirthing always low level characters still level gear, even though they normally couldn’t wear it. You also get a fraction of the bonus of the gear, and it seems pretty high (perhaps it’s calculated as the sum (character attribute requirements) / sum (item requirements)), so it can be 80%+ effective when you’re still missing a bunch of some stat that you will not see for another 50 levels.

The other recommendation I have is to rush a level of the global skill slot from the guild when you can. You get more damage (or a cool ability like my warrior borrowing a thief ability to teleport backstab people) AND you help the character who’s skill you are borrowing level up that skill.

@espressojim where are you focusing guild skill points?

My tier list would be:

  1. Training (more XP = more points)
  2. Imitating +1 (more damage, skills grow faster)
  3. Studying (more skills faster = more T2 rebirth)
  4. A little in inventory and resources, maybe water gain.

The lab is pretty important later on - you can sell pots for money and make a serious boatload of gold (millions) every day, and earn some extra nitro and the lab upgrade points. I could see purifying being my #4, but I didn’t realize that until I’d already spent a bunch of points on other crap.

Ouch these Ascension requirements look ugly.

Don’t think you’re intended to rush into it. And there is prep you can do that will really help.

I got thief unlocked around the time @espressojim was posting his tier list for guild upgrades. Simply an amazing class; he’s got a great movement attack ability that’s useful in the global slot and anything eq he levels to 10 gets an enchantment slot. When you world ascend, you lose all gear except enchanted gear or gear with slots. So you use him to decide what gear you want to carry along, in effect. He’s not the top recommended “hurry to get back to where you were” class but he would work in that capacity.

Also, getting the auto-rebirth stuff unlocked and set up is really useful. The guild xp feally does flow in and you can build up some great xp gain bonuses on characters. I stopped to farm some town upgrade mats but I’m going to start doing it again soon.

I read a guide that recommended unlocking Red Slime as a “nice to have” for the first ascension. But that is a ton of work (you need a Rank 3 trapper building, which also means a Rank 3 Statue of Heroes). So I’m not sure if I am going to shoot for that or not. Probably not. I only need one more thing to qualify for first world ascension but definitely not ready yet.

I have ascended (a few days ago) with 10 points, and I’m a good portion of the way “back” to where my characters and town were (but of course with all these new bonuses.) Keeping a lot of things unlocked (like the resource upgrades you can buy without unlocking, character titles, the buildings in the town, the research in the town, the potion points, the potion materials, etc) gives you a tremendous boost. You even keep the item boosts you get for getting an item to level 10. And yeah, your thief can level up a few good items that you can take with you to stomp the game when you get back in - the easiest thing you can do is get your first Rebirth done in 3 hours.

There’s a bunch of neat stuff you can do after you ascend. Highly recommend point(s) in area booster, it makes a huge difference and impacts some of the new features.

Edit: One last tip I only realized recently - if you want to level an item faster, put multiple copies on the same hero - the time to level will be show as the same number, but it’ll tick down 1 second per item so it’ll go faster. I wish I’d done that with duplicates of uniques I had before I ascended so the thief could do his work, but no matter what that goes really slow - rares take a LONG time to level.

Btw, the capture fairy quest line gets you fire nets. It’s only 20, but that’s enough.

That was extremely useful information. Haven’t turned on red slime yet, but where is the auto dissemble eq screen?

Never mind I found it (lol).

This is pretty cool. I’ve got my auto catch spider running with my auto refill equipment. Good times.
