Steam Summer Sale 2014 - Gems / Hot Deals / Take Ma' Money

[h=1]Steam Summer Sale 2014 start date today, June 19: Game discounts galore for two weeks[/h]

Post your wishlist here… and post deals. I am looking to blow some cash.

Wargame: Red Dragon
XCOM: Enemy Within

Big bucks, no whammies!!

I am thinking:

DayZ
some good RPG games
any AAA FPS I don’t have
any AAA RTS I don’t have

not very selective this year… feed me Gaben!

I may bite if there is any movement on:

Watch Dogs … unlikely to go low enough for me on Steam anyway given regional pricing ;)
Spintires
Xenonauts
Qvadriga
Rise of Nations Extended
Dungeon of the Endless
Dragonborn
Lego Star Wars Saga
EU IV Wealth of Nations DLC
Blackguards Untold Legends DLC
New State of Decay DLC

Admittedly some of these are fairly unlikely. :)

I’d like dirt cheap Elder Sign, Smallworld 2, and Drox Operative (And DLC for everything). Then I’d like a discount of some decent flavor on Dungeon of the Endless, Grim Dawn, Rebuild: Gangs of Deadville, and maybe Pandora. Maybe maybe maybe Xenonauts. And then there’s a pile of games I may or may not buy depending on price but I’m not really looking for them.

Only one of those I’d really expect to maybe get a daily/flash sale is Grim Dawn though, and some may not even get generic summer sale discounts. I’d like to be wrong but given the past few years of Steam sales I’m betting we get a lot of banner sales on Batman Arkham Whatever, Killing Floor, and Civ 5. Still looking forward to the sale but they’ve been getting noticeably weaker, both with smaller discounts and tending to lean more heavily on already well known games. Which is great if you haven’t already bought all the Batman, Killing Floor, and Civ games in previous sales.

Christiantoday.com seems like such an odd site to link for a videogame sale.

I’m looking for deals on Far Cry 3 (Ubi probably won’t be included though), Skyrim Dragonborne DLC (never seen it drop below $15), watch dogs, Deus Ex: the fall, saints row 4, the shadowrun DLC, the wolf among us, batman origins, CoD:the latest one with the dog, assassin’s creed: the latest one, south park the stick of truth, and finally titanfall. And of course anything else that pops up and looks tasty.

Only one of these I came close to purchasing at full price was the south park game. I’ll snatch that up if it’s discounted for sure.

New Wolfenstein below $15
Metro: Last Night below $3
The Wolf Among Us below $10
Walking Dead Season 2 below $10
Cook, Serve, Delicious! below $3
Age of Wonders 3 below $5
Watch_Dogs below $5
DayZ below $3
Dark Souls II below $5
Rage below $2
Kentucky Route Zero below $3
Child of Light below $3
Transistor below $3
Trials Fusion below $3
Thief below $5
Battlefield 4 below $5
Splinter Cell: Blacklist below $5
Bureau: XCOM declassified below $5
Race the Sun below $1
Jack Kean 2: The fire within below $5
Company of Heroes 2 below $3
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger below $8

There. That should keep me relatively safe during the sale.

I wouldn’t mind checking out Metal Gear: Rising if the price is right.

Christiantoday.com was the firstgoogle search result listed!

Careful, either of those might be possible.

I hope y’all don’t mind if I share this, but someone on another forum asked for an “approved” list of games I think they should buy if they go on sale, so in order of personal importance, they are as follows:

Distant Worlds: Universe
Freespace 2
Drox Operative (and expansion)
Starpoint Gemini 2
Kerbal Space Program
Descent: FreeSpace – The Great War
Space Rangers HD: A War Apart
Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion
FTL: Faster Than Light
Nexus - The Jupiter Incident
Evochron Mercenary
The Last Federation
X3: Albion Prelude (just had a new mini content pack released apparently)
AI War: Fleet Command
Eterium
Void Destroyer
Drifter
Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages
Parkan 2
Zigfrak
Sword of the Stars: Complete Collection
Galaxy on Fire 2 Full HD
Tachyon: The Fringe
Star Wolves 1, 2 and 3

I hope y’all find this helpful. :)

Pfft, a bit space-biased, dontcha think?

(I kid, I kid!)

Wishlist:

Wolfenstein: The New Order
Ikaruga
Lifeless Planet
Among the Sleep
Betrayer (I know it’s not great but I want to check it out)
Transistor
Payday 2 (so I can guilt my friends into getting it)

That’s it for the moment, but I usually end up finding tons of cheap/indie things to buy as well.

I’ll space-bias you you bastage!

(I admittedly have no idea what that means!)

If anything 75% off or more, I probably am going to buy it.

:|

I need help.

Hoping for Xenonauts to go on discount for 50%, even though that would hardly be fair to chaps that bought it on early-access.

Also, I have no time, but I must buy.

Remember to watch Amazon & Green Man Gaming for even cheaper price matches. GMG usually has an extra 10-20% off voucher, and they’ll be giving free store credit to people who buy/play the biggest deals of the day.

My lil wishlist:
Display Fusion
Final Hours of Titanfall

Ghostbusters (neat, it’s back on Steam)

Hate Plus

Pinball FX2 tables

Secret World ingame issues

Shadowfell Conspiracy

Shadow Warrior
I’m also wishing people buy the hundreds of new summer cards I listed on the market. I could skip my budget and grab some big recent releases if that happens. :)

I really hope they do something interesting this time around. The last few Steam sales have all been so boring… I miss the little events.

Distant worlds… If its discounted enough. And by enough I mean if nothing else on sale piques my interest. Which it won’t. Or maybe Pandora: First Contact will, but only if the discount on Distant Worlds is not enough.

Parkan 2 and Starpoint Gemini 2 could be tempting. Good are they?
Also thinking
Elder Sign
Talisman Digital
Endless Legend
State of Decay Lifeline DLC
Pandora

Not sure about much else - I’ve got so much unplayed crap from previous sales.

Thank you Brian, my wishlist just grew remarkably.
