The NFL 2018 Season

Jordan Hill was a lineman for the Seahawks a few years ago. I went to high school with both his parents. He paid for a new weight room or something in the town where I grew up. It’s just a little town, but EVERYONE in it follows him. It’s just a neat little relative thing about small towns (as crappy as they are).

Oakland beat LA 21-3 today.

Oh wait - wrong thread…

Wow, the Browns SUCK. This is some awful, awful football.

well, i am glad I didn’t fork over cash for NFL Network this year

I wonder if Tyrod Taylor has taken his last snap as a starter. He’s out right now for the concussion tent and Mayfield came in and looked decent enough.

And now Mayfield’s led them right back into the game. Tied up, suddenly a fun game to watch with Mayfield behind center.

Landry with an amazing catch to get them to the 1, then they get a 2pt conversion on a trick play following a Hyde rush for the TD.

Dilly Dilly!

FREE BEER!! ??

I’d say that’s it for Tyrod Taylor. It’s Mayfield’s team now. Maybe the Browns finally have a QB.

So I had to work real late. It sounds like you are saying this game is more a reflection of the Browns, specifically Mayfield, being decent, rather than the Jets being so terrible. Maybe not good, but competitive at least.

A thought while having a New Glarus Spotted Cow in honor of all the Clevelanders celebrating with their free beers: If the Browns had a decent kicker from the start of the season, they would be 3 - 0.

Also Mayfield was officially 17 - 23 passing and I counted at least four drops. The kid can sling it. There’s no going back now. It’s his team.

Somehow this feels bigger than the Cavs winning a championship.

The Cavs’ championship was huge, but Cleveland has always been a football town.

You could say that about the entire STATE of North Dakota when it comes to Wentz. I swear you hear the following a hell of a lot up there: “Well I’m a (insert any team but mostly Vikings) fan, but I now pull for Philly too because Carson is there.”

And it’s not, Wentz for them, it’s Carson. As if it was your neighbor Joe’s kid from down the street. The guy has a cult following in that state.

We love Alex Erickson! He was on fire as a return specialist last season, and we were happy to see the Bengals keep him on the 53-man roster this season. He earned it for sure. With the injuries at RB this week I bet the Bengals try out more receiver sets for short yardage plays, which means more Erickson in the mix.

This is what 1-1-1 looks like in Cleveland. Congrats Browns!
