Also: I want to vote for TF2, dammit! I know it came out in 2007 but the game evolved all year with official maps, new modes and class upgrades released for free by Valve. I think it’s still better than any other MP game released in 2008 (with L4D being the only real competition IMO).

Woeful times have set in for me as I only just now got a current generation console, but it was a Wii. Great family fun began over the holidays, but no game of the year entries. Pretty sure I will be playing with the kids and whatever they get, but will stick to PC gaming on my aging rig. Booo adulthood.
