Tucker Carlson out of Fox

I’m sure he’ll land on his hooves somewhere.

Unfortunately he will probably start a podcast and be bigger then ever

Could be. A bunch of the boomers who watch Fox News probably don’t know what a podcast is or how to listen to one, though. At least that fits for the rabid rightwing part of my family (that is, nearly my entire family).

I am cautiously optimistic that this is fantastic news.

Given that we’re now living in the dumbest timeline, I do half expect him to become Trump’s VP pick. Which, you know, if he loses will still be fantastic.

I gotta think what’s his loofah, O’Reilly, is doing a hell of lot worse these days.

Today, “podcast” just means “regular YouTube show,” so if you can Google “where is tucker???” you’ll probably find him.

Well if you Google it today, the answer is “NOWHERE!”

There is not a great history of “Fired by FOX, career continued on an upward trajectory.”

Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Gretchen Carlson, Megyn Kelly all say “Welcome to the lounge.”

Once you get outside the IV drip of stupid, nobody is going to make the effort to find you as long as the drip keeps delivering.

Yep.

FOX News is still very much gonna FOX News. They’re just going to try to walk the tightrope a little better, but they’ll keep churning out red meat for their audience to devour.

And some folks will seek out Tucker Carlson where he lands, but I’d imagine it won’t be the same.

This, 100%. There are a not insignificant number of televisions in America that are 24/7 tuned to whatever channel Fox News is on the regional cable provider. Those remotes aren’t going to be lifted anytime soon, and the people behind them will just receive their daily dose of the demented from a slightly less constipated looking face moving forward, be that Hannity, Bartiromo, Pirro, Baier, Gabbard, or whomever. With an election year fast approaching, not even losing nearly a billion dollars is going to move the needle at Fox News, it will remain all bullshit, all the time.

The definitive take on Tucker Carlson.

I shudder to think what a non-socialist must look like to those people.

Fox exists to make money. If I unleash my anti-gun nano particles into the water supply as part of my dastardly Liberal Schemes, and all GOP voters are suddenly violently repulsed by guns, Fox would… immediately come out against guns. It’s just that inflaming and radicalizing their viewers is generally a good way to make money.

Fox are farmers. They farm outrage. OTOH, if the farm burns down it doesn’t really matter what the crop is.

Vladya Putin.

Fox news hosts are fungible, but I’m a bit surprised Greg Gutfeld isn’t listed.

Interesting that Tabbard isn’t even on the list.

Gutfeld isn’t a news guy, he is a wanna be social comedian. He also sucks big time.

Hah, you presume there are actual news people at Fox News.
