No, it’s definitely an improvement. Where before you might see USB 3.2 Gen 1x2 and USB 3.2 Gen 2x1 and have no idea what they actually offer (They’re the same! They’re both 10Gbps!), now you’ll just see “USB 10Gbps 65w” and have a much better idea.

This doesn’t cover everything, of course. They still don’t clearly label Thunderbolt compatibility, although 20Gbps and 40Gbps USB-C plugs should all have it, and they don’t tell you if it passes displayport alt-mode, so it still sucks, it’s just better.
