Stay safe. 112 in the PNW is no joke.
Yeah, especially when the A//C stops working unexpectedly at 4pm the day before its supposed to hit 100
Fortunately I was able to fix it, but that was a definite ‘oh shit’ moment
Anyhow there are some clarification on unit movements using naval units, and blockades that I am verifying.
All right I believe I understand this correctly. In which case I am moving Mehmed and 5 units to Djerba.
EDIT: I also updated the different alliance and war changes, and was going to attempt to deal with the marriages stuff, but as it doesn’t impact me I hadn’t looked to see how those are marked, so they are not changed.
I was going to throw one file together at the end, but that works too. I’ll make sure the marriages and everything are properly represented when it comes to my turn to (not) spring deploy.
I think you’re crossing more than one sea zone for Spring Deployment. That might not be permitted.
Hmm, it appears you are correct. I was regarding the LOC rules, which are important for this, but had not noted the exception for Spring Deployment. Drat, foiled again!
In that case
<Craig (Ottoman)> - 1 sea zone error made, Mehmed does not go to Djerba, but Coron with 9 units.
Spanish galleon added to Treasure Fleet Escorts.
Two regulars in Milan move Milan-Genoa-TYR-Naples-Taranto
The British have no spring deployment to do and one home card, so nothing needed here. @Juan_Raigada
I might have been the only one to discard a home card. It looks like the @CraigM Ottomans still have 2.
To @CF_Kane for Protestants
The Ottomans keep both in the first turn and there’s a possibility that they’ll do so in the second, depending on whether Suleiman dies in turn 1(he is sure to be replaced in turn 2)
The Protestants do not have a capitol (or any units), so no spring deployment for me. I’ve posted a file with the marriages displayed, so @CraigM can start the action phase whenever he is ready.
Ok so I see the file now, lets see what can be done here.
<Craig (Ottoman)> - Ok, lets see what the sea has in store
<Craig (Ottoman)> - The Mediterranean is Mare Nostrum.
<Craig (Ottoman)> - Playing 5CPs. 2 to build a galley in Istanbul
<Craig (Ottoman)> - 2 CP to move fleets. Istanbul->Aegean->Ionian and Algiers->Barbary Coast ->Ionian
This would allow an interception by the Spanish and their Papal allies, should they wish I believe.
Both stacks have leaders traveling with them.
Now that said, I am assuming no interception will occur, in which case the last CP would be move the combined fleet into Messina.
Which, if my math is correct, would be 12 dice (4 galleys x2, 3 corsairs, plus leader) to 7 (3 Galleys x2, port defender die)
That should be correct I believe.
Sounds about right. No interception. I’m playing Fire Ships (+2 to naval combat) to bring me to nine.
Go ahead and roll when you’re ready. @CraigM
That is eye watering
** Ottoman rolls 12 d6 (+0): 5,4,2,6,6,5,1,2,3,2,5,4
** Ottoman rolls 9 d6 (+0): 6,6,1,5,2,2,6,3,2
It is a bloody day. But in the end only one fleet remains. The Ottomans won the battle, but at high cost.
All Spanish and Papal forces eliminated. 3 Ottoman corsairs and 1 galley eliminated.
@Cuthbert to you
<Greg (Spain)> - Moving the Ottoman fleet out of port, the attacker retreats even if they win a port battle
Over to @Panzeh
England plays Virgin Queen for the event. The Jilt option is chosen.
<Panzeh (England)> - Jilt William of Orange. Rolling for Protestants
** England rolls 1 d6: 5
<Panzeh (England)> - Protestants gain a +1 card marker
Good roll for the Prots. England draws a card. On to France @Juan_Raigada
France plays the index of forbidden books as an event.
Horrible rolls mean only La Rochelle and Rouen are converted back to catholicism.
