My daughters laptop will not bring up the dvd player. She is using vista on a Dell laptop. Looking at the C drive results in no dvd player shown. Looking up in device manager it shows one is there but there is an error code 39 (driver missing or corrupted). Clicking on the driver tag I am told bt “driver details” that the drivers are there and by clicking on the “update driver” tag that she has the latest driver. Clicking on “checking for solutions” leads to a dead end, the computer thinks for a second then returns to the original screen with no changes.
Any ideas or help would be appreciated.
