No wallet threats this week that I can see. My own time is under threat from the releases over the last couple of weeks, so I’m glad the deluge has stopped for now.

PICROSS S GENESIS & Master System Edition | Switch
Conquest of Elysium 5 is supposedly releasing this month. There’s no exact date on Steam other than ‘August’, but the devs did say ‘hopefully be released in the beginning of August’.
Picross with Sega characters, basically. Given that the actual “pictures” are almost irrelevant to Picross, it doesn’t do much for me as a concept, but more Picross is always good.
Oh twin stick shooter? That’s different. When you say real time combat in an RPG, I automatically envision something horrible like Baldur’s Gate or Pillars of Eternity. A more action oriented combat sounds good. I’ll have to keep my eye on “Death Trash”.
2D Metroidvania Souls-like Platformer, according to Steam tags? Probably not my genre, since Salt and Sanctuary and Hollow Knight get described that way. (On the other hand I do love semi-tough platformers like Ori and recent Raymans, but this one seems to have more emphasis on combat, I think).
There’s some more games coming to Summer Spotlight sale on Xbox that I’m intrigued by. But I’m not sure if they’re going to be great. Lawn Mowing Simulator could be cool, for instance. Hades comes to Game Pass, but that’s not a wallet threat! :)

WitchSpring3 Re:Fine - The Story of Eirudy | Switch
I enjoyed the previous Car Mechanic Simulator, and the very similar PC Building Simulator, for a while, but they get pretty repetitive quite quickly once you master each type of mission. If they’ve done something more substantial with the career in this one I might give it a shot when it goes on sale. This doesn’t sound very promising though:
It was for me too. Unfortunately it looks like the VR version is getting slammed in the Steam reviews for having buggy bare-bones implementation and bad controls. :(
Although I did get it on Fanatical with a coupon I was hoarding, so it was more $10 than $30.
I wouldn’t pay their asking price of $25, though. There are no keybindings, they think a throttle is an off/on switch, and you have to set your blade so low that if you look sideways you gouge holes in the ground.
Also I’m pretty sure the mowers use wooden blades and not metal ones, because I have to repair them every time I finish an outing.
Also, there is no way to exit the game except to Alt+F4 while in Career mode.
Also, they very clearly stated today on the Steam forums that they made it for controllers, which means on the XBX/S you’re probably fine, but on Steam using the mouse and keyboard is a joke. Using the XB1 controller is also a joke, so maybe if you have a wheel?
Also also, someone needs to just combine all of these, so that I Euro Truck Simulator 2 my vehicles to my Farming Simulator 19 (21 soon) farm, plow everyhing, seed everything, then Lawn Mowing Simulator around my farmhouse and when I get done, move the mower and the vehicles over to my Power Wash Simulator garage and then pack them back up on the truck so I can live the damn simulator life, okay? Come on.
