Going to give this controversial space game (and semi-successor to my favorite game of all time) a try:

And going to continue my story in this game on mobile:

More Diablo 3, Overcooked and AC: Syndicate. Started up Forza Horizon 4 so may play a little of that, as well (wow, what a gorgeous looking title!).
And picked up a new bass a couple of months ago that I haven’t had much time for, so will be playing that as well!

I’ve went through and completed all the challenges in Train Valley. I’m always surprised by how much I like that game. I wish the leader boards worked. Then I started going through and replaying the final missions in each chapter that record the high score to try and beat what I had previously.
Not sure what is up next. I pulled my back again so I haven’t been able to go do something active outside and enjoy some of this great weather.

It is a pretty neat little game.
Its been a Starsector and Gemcraft weekend. Bought Gemcraft years ago but has been sitting in the backlog waiting, looks like it could be exactly what I’m looking for at this time. Keep reading about Starsector in it’s thread and while reading longingly at the advanced game (colony’s) I’m just trying to keep my ragtag fleet from going broke :)

Keep playing Dying Light and wondering when the heck I’m gonna get some kind of gun or at least a bow. One thing I wish I could do in this game is reset a mission. On a couple of missions I’ve been screwed because I die the first time I try them , but then on the second try, a convenient item I found in the vicinity the first time is gone, because somehow even just my finding it before made it disappear.
Keep doing story missions and they will get more abundant as far as I remember. It’s a loot game so it appears randomly I think so that’s probably why you lose them if you restart the mission.
Guns made me lose interest in the game kind of like Mirror’s Edge and the fact they removed limb targetting for dismemberment that was in Dead Island. The parkour and melee give a unique feel to the game and when it switches to FPS it isn’t up to par with other FPS games IMO. I hope Chris Avellone might help them get the sequel to keep me going further.
Weekend (and some weekday) games
I have the patience/mood for randomly generated games ATM so I’m putting time Into the Breach and the Necrodancer Crypt. Both are brutal games but still rewarding because progress isn’t too hard and there is plenty of variation.
For story-driven stuff:
Risen 3: Piranha Bytes games are my guilty pleasure for fantasy RPGs and hit the beats that Skyrim/Witcher never do for me. I promised myself that I have to finish this before I buy Elex.
Remember Me: The setting and story is so different that I can tolerate the cookie-cutter gameplay albeit there are unique elements to it. Why can’t Ubisoft make games like this?

I will definitely get that at some point, Reviews are pretty positive.

This weekend I’ve been playing Arkham Horror: The Card Game and World in Flames: Collector’s Edition.
Yep, WIF/CE, all set up on a 12-foot table in my gaming room. I’m on impulse 3 of September/October 1939; Germany’s trying to take Warsaw, but it’s raining, and the Poles are fighting hard. Japan has flipped some Chinese units with ground strikes, but there’s rain there, too.
I dabbled a bit in those other games, but was totally gripped by Oxygen Not Included - must have sunk around a dozen hours over the last 3 days across two colonies - and now thinking of starting a new one. I like how it each colony I get a few hours in, before realizing I know some new trick or technique that will make the next colony even better. Really addictive stuff, this game is almost certainly my GOTY.
Session is almost certainly my GOTY for 2020/21 (whenever it hits 1.0). While it still has bugs and imperfections, it is the best skateboarding game in a decade despite being in early access. Even with those bugs, I still manage a bit here and there. While much, much harder than any earlier skateboarding game, it captures the same magic of being great to pick up for as little as 5 minutes - just enough time to figure out a cool line, fail a few times before getting it, then realize you could do it even better if you tweak your speed/execution/a specific trick. The replay system is going to be great for this game’s social presence, it works very well already, even in early access.

In the end, what I did play in the weekend was mostly Code Vein and a bit of father-and-son-coop in Cat Quest II.

I was able to push through to World Tier 5 and hit 480 gearscore in The Division 2 just before the Uplay+ trial ends. I’ll probably buy it if/when it drops to 20 bucks and look forward to whatever breaks in unexpected ways downgrading from the ultimate to the standard version.

It was a mostly Borderlands 3 weekend, but I loaded up Factoria for a few hours after not playing it for months, and I was amazed at how much has changed. The new tutorial is awesome.

I didn’t play anything I mentioned above, but instead played more Watch Dogs 2.

I played everything I mentioned. I made a binding contract with this community, and I am a man of my word.
I played a game of this, and it was quite uneventful, eventually made a silly mistake and got sucked out of an airlock. So I tried again, and HOLY CRAP WHAT IS GOING ON THIS IS NUTS! Playing at night with the lights off, I had to take a break.

Scavenger is one of those games I’d love to see tackled by a larger team of people. It had a lot of good ideas. I especially liked exploring the surface with the rover, and kitting the rover up, but I do wish that whole experience could be fleshed out more.
