Yeah. Not going to say the NYT ruined the game, but it’s not as fun as it used to be with all these harder words.
I’m on my longest win streak yet. If someone’s got any deep analysis with some science to back any of this up, I’d love to hear it, but it’s hard to believe it’s meaningfully changed from a bunch of anecdotes.
Probably just random, the run from late last week to today had at least three really rough ones I remember. EGRET, LILAC, SEVER was a particularly notable run.

holy crap, how random is it that your second word was my first! I pick a new word every day, and just grab something from my mood, or whatever it is i’m thinking of. I have no idea why i thought of that word, i’ve never used it before, but looking at ti’s construct, i’m like…good vowels, good consonants, sure, go with that one!
Ha, weird! My wife uses the same starting word as me, and a few times we’ve ended up playing the exact same guesses for the whole thing, that always feels a bit odd.
