Since this thread got bumped: I’ve recently discovered The Great War, a Youtube channel where the gimmick is that they are narrating the events of the war in “real-time,” so to speak, a century later, much as triggercut was doing in his thread.
I’m not qualified to judge the historical accuracy of the series, but I’ve made it thru the first six months and found it pretty engaging. They started in 2014 and will end in 2018 just as WWI did. They’ve also got their own subreddit.
