Steam today: Stronghold Crusader HD - $3.39 - 66% off.
Steam midweek: Car Mechanic Simulator 2014 - $6.79 - 66% off.
This game is tagged Kawaii, which is kind of disturbing…
It’s Wolf Among Us, for 12.50, I think.
Why yes, that’s the other midweek. $12.49, 50% off. Finale episode released today.
Humble bundle is all 2K Games this week.
Pay what you want for Bioshock, The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, and The Darkness II.
Beat the average for Bioshock 2, Mafia II, and Spec Ops: The Line.
$20 or more gets you XCOM Enemy Unknown and Bioshock Infinite as well.
The best deal is probably the $1 for initial three games if you don’t have one of them. All the others have been cheaper in various sales.
I’m confused by this Humblebundle business. You pay $1 for these 3 games with steam keys? How do they do this? What’s the catch?
No catch. You pay anything from $1 to any amount above that and you even get to determine the division of revenue. I guess the “catch” is that they’re usually older or poorer selling games. In the case, The Darkness II is one of the most underrated FPS games ever, Bioshock is obviously a huge (but older) title, and The Bureau blew its budget by taking years to develop. Any one of them is worth $1 alone.
That plus–I guess–there’s some sort of sociology/psychology experiment taking place with the ‘name your own price’ theme that appeared a few years ago (e.g., Radiohead’s 2007 album sale). Lots of people pay more than the minimum (I often do, and I’m miserly).
Also, +1 for Bardbarian: I’ve only played it on Android, but it’s a fun little action-tower defense (RPG?) game where you run around as the bard and your minions swarm around you flinging arrows and fireballs at nearby enemies.

About an hour after I ordered it I got an email from Steam telling me that I also had to order Day Z, Sacred 3, and The Sims 3:University Life, and that the total would be $106.76, and that’s what would be charged to my card.

Ever bring your car to a mechanic?

You know if the game actually taught you to fix your own car, it would be worth a lot of money.
Will it be interesting for a 6 year old? Does it teach anything at all or is it just a gamey thing.

The Deluxe Edition comes with a pin-up calendar from 1973.
Probably a little boring for a 6-year-old. You could learn what some parts look like and the names of them, but as for actually learning how to fix a car this game will do it about as well as Call of Duty teaches you how to be a soldier.
Thanks, I’ll save our time and money.
OK, now that’s proper education for him right there.

You know, I have never played one of these games. I think the reason is I have absolutely no idea how to pronounce the name. Is it Yis? Yees? Ees? Are the games even good?
Halp!
I think I can help you. And if you don’t feel like watching the entire five and a half minute intro, skip to about the 1:35 mark.

Yeah, Y’s is super old. I remember being impressed by the fully voiced intro on the TurboCD circa 1992 or so.
