They mentioned in an announcement that at the end of the sale in early january the game is increasing in price to $30. It’s a niche game and I haven’t played it but the reviews are good so it might be of interest.

It’s not bad once you realize the game wants you to lose now and then.
I used to think the Wing Commander games were like that. Until I reached a bad ending, and I realized, wait, all those escort missions and such that I failed? I should have reloaded a save game until I won those.
I can’t remember which WC game was the worst offender. WC IV I think.

Prison Architect took a similar approach. Given that Apple doesn’t want you to put demo versions in the store, I guess that’s the only way. It’s annoying. I’d rather just see the price and buy the app. It also prevents you from sharing it with Family Sharing, since that doesn’t include IAP. :(
