I don’t think it’s worth forcing a jump: there’s lots of stuff on the board but it’s not about to do lots of damage. Consequently I think we’re best off trying to destroy things at the moment so they don’t come back, rather than running away and letting them build up further.
Think I’d target the raiders if you have a good way of doing that (I assume you don’t have an XO for Athena).
Let’s go with the raider plan. Best option seems to be nuking that zone again with the 2nd nuke. Hopefully it’ll wipe out some or all of those fighters with the base star.
Nuke away on area 5 again, phone bold. Fixed area, oops!
If anyone actually has a SP then they can still use one. I believe everyone spent their Tactics on that last check though, unless I’m miscalculating what’s left (plus Destiny ambiguity.)
Other things that a glance at the board says to me:
Escort 2 civilians away.
Use Pegasus to fire at the basestar. You seem to have 7 ‘useless’ cards, so discarding one to move is easy, right?
Use Pegasus to fire at the Raiders. Same movement.
I have to assume you don’t have/aren’t willing to XO Athena.
It’s almost the same chance of hitting the Raiders with a nuke as there is to survive an FTL lever pull with no pop loss right now.
Should I have done this earlier?
Edit: Not to mention firing at Centurions are also a thing. We’re going to be gone before the Raiders pull anything off. Sure, they’ll be back. I’m going to stick with my theory that our nukes are being used rather rapidly.
And you conveniently left out the 4 pro-nuke opinions, including your own. It feels pretty fishy to hold back your own opinion (note I mentioned shooting centurions but got crickets) and then immediately criticize as soon as I put my order in. Unless those are 9 of your friends hanging about in space 5, in which I understand! :D
