It’s an issue because I have to spend more time sorting after every single run than I do actually playing. And doing something as seemingly normal as trying to complete various sets is a pain in the ass due to space limitations. And the fact they play keep-away with the seasonal tabs just adds to my frustration.
Oh, I’m not denying any of that. It is annoying. My point I guess is that the only way to win is cheat, and to another give your seat, etc. In other words, don’t play their game. Ditch virtually everything that’s not essential to your build, or ancient. Really. It’s all junk.

For a game that focuses a lot around being always online, it doesn’t seem like a great fit for the switch in my opinion.
I know that’s technically what they’re doing, and it’s easy to be cynical about it, but I really do consider a Switch port to be in a different realm than a different console port. I can play Diablo on the train or bus to work, on a plane, on the couch while my wife watches TV, at my mom’s house, or in bed. Those are all places I couldn’t play Diablo before, and it’s why I’m basically excited about every big Switch game, even if those games are ports.
It’s not misleading and it’s not the same rumour. The very first word in the title says “Sources:”, refering to EG’s ‘industry insiders’ who have confirmed those earlier rumours.
It’ll be just as ‘always online’ as the other console versions, i.e. plays fine offline. Except now you can pick it up and keep playing when someone else wants to use the TV or you need to go to the toilet. ;)

Yeah, console versions of D3 are not always-online. It’s very well suited to the Switch.
Is there some kind of event going on?
I just had a really weird rift. First level was pretty normal until I ran into a dozen treasure goblins clumped together. The second… a sewer filled with cuddly bears, flowers, and rainbow unicorns.
Don’t think it’s an event, those monsters are from the secret Whimsyshire/Whimsydale level. The level’s tileset itself will sometimes show up in Rifts too.
Correct and the cluster of gobbos is a normal spawn as well. You were just riding the RNG train!

New season… got a cool Daibo with 5x dmg increase on that “spin while walking” ability, kills everything. Shame I need to hit level 60 to cube it.
