Eh, if it’s a troll it’s a very thoughtful one targeted specifically at Qt3. I can admire the craftsmanship in that.
Troll or not, it 's a nice little window in how our attitudes about things can change over the years. I find it kind of amazing that the Qt3 community is old enough that we can have fruitful archaelogicial expeditions in the post history.

I think you might be conflating “troll” and “bot”. It’s weirdly specific and confrontational for a bot or spammer who might be trying to build up a post-count before hitting us with adds for generic Viagra, but if it’s someone looking to stir up trouble then sit back and enjoy the fireworks… well, such a person might well spend hours sifting through ancient posts looking for something offensive to bring to light.
What would drive such a person to do such a thing is a mystery to me, but many things that humans do strike me a really odd.
Well they already said they didn’t realize the age of the topic, and well what would drive them to it… well because Katie Holmes is a human, not a piece of meat. This topic in this age would get a lot of attention, easily.
It’s not that odd for some specific searches to bring up QT3 threads, and google sure doesn’t discriminate as to the age of a page it shows you.
Topic is generally fine, “tainted meat” comment was a bit iffy. I’d rule it OK re scientology association, not so much for marrying an allegedly gay guy.

The entire topic is discussing someone’s medical condition like it’s something they can control or that it has anything to do with a religion. I mean it’s straight up ignorance that goes on and on until it starts hitting an awful amount of stereotypes about women which equals… not okay.
That would be valid if she had a medical condition, but actually she’s just a shitty actor so it’s all OK.
