Far Cry 5 - Hope springs eternal

The non-stop spawning enemies is really off putting. It’s why I stopped playing primal a few hours in. Why you give us no time to breathe, ubi??!?

But there’s always been a lot of it in Far Cry, and in 5 it seriously feels like there’s a 50 yard radius around you that the game is trying to overlap with AI at all times. I have a hard time recalling completing a task that didn’t have some non-task-related nonsense happening at the same time.

An example: I came across a quiet airfield with two planes parked on it, and thought I’d help myself to one. While preparing to snipe the two cultists guarding it, I noticed some movement nearby: it was a bull fighting a mountain lion. Unfortunately, the cultists moved out of position due to that weird skirmish, which meant I also had to change position to snipe them, and by the end of the encounter, which lasted roughly thirty seconds, more cultists had arrived (some in a helicopter), a wolverine had appeared and attacked a fleeing cow, a citizen had driven up in a tractor, two planes (in the air) got into a dogfight, another cultist drove up (in a different tractor), and both planes (the ones on the ground) had exploded in the ensuing carnage. I had to settle with stealing one of the tractors, which I used to run over an angry bear that showed up late.

I couldn’t stop laughing about the tractor and the bear.
