Bingo. Was so disappointed in this game. Lord British + Car Wars? It should have been awesome, but it never really grabbed me. Still, waiting for a turn based version of Car Wars…

I played this a ton on the Apple IIe. But it started with a lot of frustrated attempts to get somewhere until I figured out the cheese-dick way to play: Spend your early cash on a ticket to Atlantic City, play poker (save-scumming as you do to make sure you don’t lose to bad luck), then buy yourself a decent car and drive around completing quests and arenas.
