ESRB rating! So it’s not a very old game, since they haven’t been around too long. At first I was hoping this would be the sportsball game I used to play on my amstrad where you would guide a disc around a stadium, but this game must be much newer than that.
I mean, the ESRB has been around since the mid 90s, so it’s not exactly new.
That being said, E10 didn’t show up until 2005.
Well the disc sportsball game on the Amstrad was in the 80s so the ESRB definitely wasn’t around, that’s the frame I was looking at it through. Though good point about the E10 rating.

Not even close!
Certainly worth thinking about. But, alas, no.
So close, yet so far.
And with Thursday morning comes our second-to-last update for this game! I’m sure that the next update will either be congratulating a winner or I will eat my loss and do you all a solid by revealing it and moving on to another game that is sure to delight and inspire.
Mario Strikers Charged! Great game. It’s basically “What if Nintendo made Speedball?”

YYYYEEEESSSSSS!!!

Mario Strikers Charged combines the power of (a take on) the world’s most popular sport with one of the world’s most renown video game characters of all time and puts it on one of the most innovative and popular video gaming consoles (with almost 102 million units sold) in history. You take all that and this game is a result, a wildly fun game that (sold 1.77 million copies and still) earns a ton of strange, perplexed looks when you try to bring it up in conversation and nobody remembers ever hearing about it, which would be fine, except this thing is actually a sequel!
I bought the game and could hardly play it because my TV at the time was so terrible that everything in this game just looked like one big flashy, high-speed blur. But it sure sounded fun. I put a bunch of hours into watching the silver blur move back and forth across the big grey blur.
I’m really hoping it gets a Switch remake/sequel.

Hell yea. And I wonder if they’ll be able to make Mario look even more pissed off on the new box.

A game that apparently had at least two different box art versions due to slight branding changes for different markets, so thanks Nintendo.

Yea, the Euro version which I’d never seen until making this entry.
Damn, I might have to break out the Wii-U to play this again now.
Hey for once the Euro cover isn’t as good as the U.S. cover. Nice!
Giant metal fist angry Mario is the only Mario in my heart.
Somebody should tell them what a ball looks like though. You don’t play football with a landmine here.

But, Mario is bending it like Beckham.
It’s not prudent is all I’m saying!
OK, this should go a bit quicker than my last few:
