I do indeed own five Sidewinder Force Feedback 2s. They’re the greatest stick ever made by man or god, but they’re no longer in production, so I’ve gots to have backups, son.
I also have a Strategic Commander and a Freestyle gamepad.
I was a massive fan of Microsoft’s gaming hardware back in the day. Still am really, with their 360 pads.
strategic commander was the voice input thing was it not? I had that one, think it worked with Allegiance (great great game!).
There are several on ebay – where I got all of mine – that look promising!
The first one I ever bought was from these guys, and they clean it out and such inside.
If you wanna go all out, you want the second, red edition, since it has a rubberized grip. I didn’t see any nice versions of though, those, as the few I did find saw the rubber peeling a bit.
Anyway, do yourself a favor and pick one of these up. :)
Nah, it was the mouse thing they intended for use in strategy games and FPS games.
You’re thinking Game Voice, which was indeed pretty awesome. I used it with Klingon Academy extensively.
