This was an interesting podcast that included Plimpton.
Intellivision also ran TV commercials with Plimpton. I thought it was very effective marketing at the time.
Yeah, he was everywhere, which is why I thought he was Intellivision. Kind of like those Playatation ads that had the VP character for a long time, but he’s really just an actor. I probably should have known better but it was still weird seeing him turn up in Geico ads.
It also turns out Orson Welles wasn’t just Dark Tower Guy.
I really love the way they “ting” against the plate/floor when he knocks them over so that you know they are currently frozen.
I see Orson Welles, but I hear The Brain.
Well, there’s a very good reason for that.
Orson is so awesome. I definitely do not hate him!
That was awesome. Thanks for that link. Surprised it was on The Dean Martin Show!
I know it’s a bit cheap, copying this from the front page, but these four guys…seriously?
I think the single worst part was the last guy rubbing his hands together, like it’s a holiday feast, right before he plays. Ugh.
I didn’t mention it in the front page post, but there’s bonus points for the Xbox controller not even being on.
Aargh, now you have made me watch it again!!!
Glad you liked it. Welles makes a helluva Falstaff. If you haven’t seen Chimes at Midnight, I highly recommend it.
