When you play a given Ace, the JQK off that suit become “ready”. I don’t think you can move that card at that point without using their power. On the one hand, that seems annoying, but it also fits with the narrative of the game that the different factions you were with have mind of their own.
Digging it.

Learning them can be useful. For instance the one that takes a stack and sorts it highest to lowest seems at first kinda meh. But if you’ve got an open slot you can now reverse that stack into it, getting at the A or 2 that was on the bottom. Some of them are kind of random though.

How hard are you both finding the game? The fact that you can move cards around fairly easily (as long as you open a spot or two) seems to make it much less difficult than I thought it would be. I am level 8 or 9 and I have not lost a hand yet.
Yeah, I was expecting some level of interference from the “enemy”. But my experience matches yours. I do find myself stopping to think about how to approach things though (perhaps not strictly necessary) and that’s my favorite part puff a game like this.

I’m about 20 hands in, and yeah aside from the changing card powers it remains the same game so far. I did unlock a skirmish mode or something, so maybe new mechanics will enter into play later.

Is there any reason why you should be wary of the number of turns you use? Because, I don’t think I see a scoring system or anything? Or a number of turns where time runs out?

Haven’t seen anything like that (yet?). I’d just assumed it was essentially a “scoring” mechanism.

Whuzza whut?
I mean this. I think the developer is fulla shit or more likely wires are being crossed here somewhere.
I watched a bit of your play through of Vintage Story and liked what I saw, I am just waiting on the end game to develop with more automation and things to do.
So I’ve played the demo of this:
Through three times, and it is GREAT. Hard as balls and at times frustrating, but really great and unique. Gonna get the full version soon! I asked the dev for a key to stream it, but I’ll buy it if they don’t get back to me.
Yeah, I think so. There are several “Minecrafty” games on steam already so I can’t imagine they’d reject his based on that logic.

btw thanks for the heads up @GuildBoss I am picking this one up. Even better its on Itch! Thank you1

I finished Solitaire Conspiracy and it never got harder. It does require some thinking here and there but I have to say that I enjoyed Ancient Enemy, Shadowhand, etc, more.
That halfway makes me rethink my purchase. But on the other hand, it’s good looking and sometimes you just wanna play a game that ain’t that hard!
Nice! I didn’t know it was itch
So, Steam’s Autumn Festival features a lot of indie game demos to try! Some of them are still quite early, so expect the jank, but having fun checking them out (as they download slowly). Way too many to get through in the time allocated though.
So far:
Syder Reloaded - sequel to Syder Arcade, it’s a horizontal shoot-em-up in the Euro vein, your ship can move left or right a la Defender / Uridium, and it looks promising.
Temple of Snek - imagine Snake (yes, that Snake) combined with a puzzle game with a dash of Necrodancer, and you have this! Been playing the alpha for a few weeks and it keeps getting better.
I downloaded several yesterday:
Arcanium
Poker Quest
Endless Wyrd (early to the point of unplayable)
The Magister
The Slormancer
Void Eclipse
Only had a chance to try Poker Quest, which reminds me a bit of Dicey Dungeons
Congratulations to Bithell Games for the Solitaire Conspiracy:
Folks, The Solitaire Conspiracy’s shifting some units. It’s our bestselling launch yet. We’ve made a decision: We’re gonna go to regular updates on this one. We’re figuring out the roadmap, but you can expect a steady stream of content and tweaks for the game over the coming months, and communication from us on what’s coming (and roughly when). We have a lot of ideas, but I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts on what they’d like us to invest time in adding to the game. Let’s call this first phase ‘stage setting’… fixing issues and making the core game the best it can be before we start adding new modes and/or crews
