I’d like to thank everyone who panned this movie. I had low expectations going in as a result and then ended up enjoying myself despite the flaws.
There is a certain value in that - I feel the same way about Prometheus.
How dare you. Prometheus has no redeeming value. It’s science.
I enjoyed Prometheus despite some flaws like moron dudebro “scientists” (especially Shaw’s husband). But those are the types of guys women like to see in movies, so whatddyagonnado? I mean, most women probably started looking at their phones when Michael Fassbender was on the screen.
Eye candy, for those who consider it that, does not fix what is wrong with the current run of the Alien franchise, a series of movies who managed to screw up not only one of the most incredible concepts and designs of an alien race but somehow managed to make scientists look and act dumber than 1980s space truckers.
Yeah, well, these are privately employed scientists. Waaaaay sexier than the USGS or NASA or whatever.
Rented this, it was… just ok? Maybe even that is being generous, but I watched the whole thing at least. Just felt unnecessary.
Yep, didn’t hate it, didn’t like it, just don’t care about it.
