Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) - We're really sorry about Microsoft Flight

I actually match the recommended specs pretty much. Interesting.

Ohhh Iā€™ve got the ideal setup! Yay me!

Darn, once again I donā€™t meet the minimum requirement on CPU. Hopefully, like usual, those are exaggerated and my 980 Ti and 8GB RAM gets me by.

Now for them to add VR support and a new column where the current ideal requirement is listed as minimumā€¦

980 Ti? Maybe. 8GB of RAM? Unlikely.

Holy cow. If this thing actually runs more than 30 fps it will be amazing.

To quote Liz Lemon: I want to go to there.

Microsoft needs to hurry up and get this to all of us quarantined shut-ins. What a way to explore the world.

Thereā€™s something incredibly satisfying flying around places you know well, flying in low with the clouds at sunrise or sunset. This is by far my #1 anticipated game of the near future.

Is there any chance this would include historical aircraft at some point? I have something in mind Iā€™d like to try.

With my Ryzen 9 3900X, RTX2070 and 16GB RAM im probably in the rare situation of being near ideal spec, albeit still falling short.

Iā€™m usually a few years behind but ive had my first in 8 years PC upgrade recently.

Specs below as i notice not been shown in the thread yet, only mentioned.

The Mod and FS Add-On communities will probably get to those.

That 50 Mpbs worries me.

How many Mbps do you have? The 50 Mbps will be to stream the largest textures they have available in a larger radius. It will still look good with less.

Also, didnā€™t they already announce a feature to pre-download and cache certain areas or did I only dream that?

Iā€™m worried about my data cap lol

Good grief, thatā€™s some cloud porn right there. It already looked pretty damn good in the alpha, but this is another step up.

One thing theyā€™ve mentioned in the past is that you can pre-download parts of the map for usage later, so if you have the option to do that on a different network maybe you can do that.

Additionally, hopefully that control hints at the overall ability to manage bandwidth and such

If theyā€™re using real world air traffic data to populate the simulation, itā€™s gonna be pretty empty.

I was wondering about that. Conversely, if they simulate current ground traffic levels, think of the thousands of miles of runways!

Iā€™m hoping they plan on having robust 3rd party support like previous versions, in which case there will probably be 3rd party solutions to simulate air traffic if they donā€™t and just use live data.
