Great. Now I bought F-14 Fleet Defender, 1942: PAW, and 1943: EAW on GoG. (I had a couple of those on Steam, but the GoG versions apparently run better and that’s $10 for three sims that do things today’s don’t… EAW had missions with up to 256 planes in the sky and more convincing AI than anything out there today…)

I just thought it was funny, with all the things they “could” have shown with some graphic fidelity for the time… and they show this incredibly bland image. If you want to show the landscape and the P-38 you could show this!

2.7 (and hind) release pushed back a week to the 7th.
I consider myself a decent sim helicopter pilot, but man, am I not looking forward to trying to hit individual targets with a fixed gun.
I wonder if I can get my one buddy in the front seat, or if I’ll have to wait for the Apache to entice him back to DCS.
All sources I read state the hind at speed is pretty much a fixed-wing machine to its pilot. So you do strafing runs at a good clip. Appear, blast the capitalists, didi mau like a noisy, fat ghost and perhaps repeat.
