RIM: We have no fucking clue

At first I had assumed it was just some bullshit lawsuit, but after checking… yeah, the Typo keyboard is pretty much EXACTLY the same as the Q10’s keyboard. Like, every single aspect of it is identical, from the exact shape of the keys, to the location of the shifted symbols, etc.

Huh.

I can’t see how he thought he’d get away with that. It’s not a “we claim the rectangle” issue :)

Posting mostly because I miss this thread.

BlackBerry’s U.S. market share hits 0%

I love T-Mobile CEO John Legere: http://mobilesyrup.com/2014/02/19/john-legere-knows-how-to-troll-blackberry/

Me too. He trolled AT&T or maybe it was Verizon at their own show and got kicked out. So awesome.

Who would have thought that Microsoft would be the first of RIM and Microsoft to finally face the inevitable, and jump on the Android bandwagon?

Unclear on the concept.:

I would take $19 billion for BBM: BlackBerry CEO

LOL. I’d take $19 billion for my house too, but I don’t see it happening.

Well it’s not technically Microsoft but it’s Nokia’s last action before being absorbed by the borg.

A savior appears! Ford switches its in-car Sync system from Microsoft’s Windows Embedded (no relation to WinRT or WinPhone) to… BlackBerry QNX Neutrino.

Ugh… the reality distortion field is strong in this one. It’s amazing they still have employees (we’ve hired plenty of ex-Trolltech/Nokia employees over the past couple of years - most of them before things got really bad. Any half-intelligent RIM employee has to see where this is heading).

QNX is the one thing of any value they have left. It apparently has about 50% of the market in cars.

Won’t save them

I’m updating this thread before rei? WTF!?

T-Mobile offered to pay their Blackberry users $200 if they switched from their Blackberry phones to another manufacturer. They also offered their Blackberry users $250 to switch from an older model Blackberry to a newer model Blackberry. Guess which offer was more successful?

94% upgraded to a different manufacturer’s phone.

Windows Phone overtakes Blackberry in the US.

Blackberry CEO said they have a 50/50 chance of survival? Refreshing change from the “there are no tanks in Baghdad” style of leadership.

eBook vendor OverDrive drops BlackBerry support: http://www.the-digital-reader.com/2014/03/26/overdrive-abandons-support-for-their-blackberry-app/

Er yea, now you should just install the android app from the amazon store or sideload it.

BlackBerry’s flagship phone from 2011 is once again available for preorder at $399

Is there any need for this with the (I assume) superior Q10?
