The Rubio thing is hilarious. I admit, I’ve actually mixed up Elijah Cummings and John Lewis myself. However, they’re not colleagues of mine and I’ve never personally met either one of them and didn’t share a photo of one such meeting on Twitter. This is… rich.

Also: President Trump will not be paying any respects at Lewis’s viewing as he lies in state at the Capitol the next two days.
Which…honestly surprised me a bit. I have no doubt that Trump would be unwelcome at a Lewis funeral or memorial service.
But to just shuffle past the catafalque in the Capitol building? That seems like a minimal effort show of faux-respect that might earn some political capital.
