Yeah, his aesthetics seemed like a good fit, even if I haven’t really liked much of his output post-District 9. Except for Zygote. That was a terrific short, and hopefully the unamed horror/thriller continues in that vein.
Blomkamp has a rough track record with franchise reboots.
I really don’t care, though; I don’t think Robocop ever needed sequels or remakes, any more than Jaws did. Wonderful film, one and done, move on.
