The UK hard left is vigorously pro-Putin. The main culprits are UK. and Israel The UK government is a culprit because Porton Down (the UK biochem warfare centre) is nearby and the Tories are in danger in the forthcoming council elections. Their socmedia is 90% retweets of RT, Sputnik, Evolvemedia, Canary, Skwawkbox and Novara (google, make your own minds up). They are all pushing Russian talking points.
The most embarrassing bit is the hard left control Labour at the moment, completely, top down, from compliance to the governing board so some of this crap is coming from some of the prominent star MPs and the top man himself.
Their counterparts on the far right are pushing it as a EU plot to stop Brexit.
The Tories barely have a handle on it, with soft touch sanctions, idiot Defence Secretary/Schoolboys and a Conservative Party bank account STUFFED full of rubles.

I am more certain than ever that Trump is going to fire Mueller soon. Republicans’ silence/approval has empowered Trump and he probably knows that the downside of letting Mueller continue is worse than firing him.
I would bet on Mueller being gone no later than the end of April.
Firing McCabe is not the same as firing Mueller. The former only directly affects a pension. The second directly affects an ongoing investigation. McCabe was pretty much under the radar until this week. Mueller has been highly visible all along.
Finally, if Dems retake the House then firing Mueller will inevitably lead to impeachment, as even Trump realizes. And Dems are almost certain to retake the House.

Yes, but it hasn’t registered with the public in the same way. MoveOn already has a website for planned protests in case Mueller is fired. Polls have repeatedly gauged how people would react. Nothing similar for McCabe. Until recently he was just a right wing talking point like Susan Rice, otherwise known mainly by people who wanted to refute the right.
As a rough estimate of public interest, “Mueller before:2018/02/01” has more than 10X as many hits has “McCabe before:2018/02/01”
Yes, but McCabe has been semi-retired for months. He wasn’t running an investigation last week, so firing him does not obstruct one.
It’s a dick move, of course. It’s part vendetta and part warning to other members of the FBI unwilling to swear loyalty to Trump (unlike Putin, Trump can’t actually have such people killed).
