Wow. I was about to shake my fist at Brian before hopping off to Steam to buy this but I’ll hold off for now till Tylertoo hopefully comes back to clarify if this is still unbaked.

Is it still 1/2 baked? I am contemplating installing windows on the Mac just to play this since Brian gave such a big thumbs up!

Ad Astra’s games are very interesting… but getting hold of them in Europe is nigh on impossible… and importing from the US costs a major fortune.

I’m afraid I’ve not had time to get around to it… there is a gameplay video though, and it looked a little too heavy for me.

Yeah it’s great and so far i’m just terrible at controlling it.
Tried to setup with an XBox controller but it just doesn’t seem capable of the 6DOF - Mouse and Keyboard seems to be the only sensible way.
Reminds me of Hardwar more than Descent.
Also getting E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy vibes. Mainly from the depth of systems combined with an inability to properly explain itself.
Would really like the “Beginners Guide” as a downloadable PDF.

Oh god me too. I think what really throws me is the spacebar for alternate fire and the right mouse button for the pause/tactical screen. I think I’m gonna switch them up so it makes more sense in my brain.

UGH! I DON’T KNOW! What day is it?!? Tuesday? I prefer crafting sims on Tuesdays…They both sound fun. Probably grand strategy… I’m leaning Distant Worlds (also a better savings from midweek madness)…

Yeah, Distant Worlds rarely goes on sale, and seeing as it’s the bigger/more expensive option, I’d go with it.

I don’t think Tom ever tried Star Hammer, but it’s a pretty great game. It’s like Combat Mission and Nexus: The Jupiter Incident had a baby or something.

Distant Worlds is my desert island game. Star Hammer is an amazing tactical experience. Both games are definitely worth owning.

PWYW for Centauri Sector. Not sure about this one. Plenty of similar games albeit more expensive.
