Thanks for that video. As the video says, minecraft and infiniminer are fundamentally different kinds of games. While it was inspired by infiniminer, it was not a copy. And again as the video stated, all games are inspired by other games. I still stand by my statement that minecraft was the first game of its kind, defining an entirely new genre.
I just hope other game developers take the ball and run with it and add something new to the formula and make yet another new kind of game.
Fortresscraft evolved kind of does this, however, IMHO, it is a very flawed implementation and could greatly be improved / built upon.
