Seriously, if I crazy enough to be into conspiracy theories, I’d say that CIG purposefully did this $27K bs in order to deflect from the BIG news that playing out and soon be public.

But seriously, I’m just as frustrated. Right now I’m waiting for my attorney to get back to me about what I can or cannot release without getting a visit from the FBI because no doubt in his mind that CIG will file a police report for my having data which appears to be priviledged and which came from a third-party source. They won’t care that I’m a blogger, and will have no problem accusing me of some vast conspiracy. Right or wrong, I tend to err on the side of caution - even when people send me crap. Lawsuits aren’t fun, regardless of who is right or wrong.

I think this ‘attachment’ analysis is flawed as he focuses too much on the money from the backer pov. The supporters do not care about the money. It is more the ideal, the dream…There is a much deeper emotional and psychological investment. Emotions run high because this is challenged and they don’t like that…
In general for the backer, it is not about the money or how the tires will touch the road. And for the "anti-backer’, it is all about the money (and the practicality), which is why there is such a sensational clash between the two. I think people by-and-large do not look at crowd funding as a high potential return thing as far as money goes…but they do like to dream at times. (Edit: fixed error’d double negative)
in regards to a statement made in the video, didn’t CIG already have $2m in backers before the Kickstarter?..he made it sound like it did not exist before that. the KS was when it took off on it’s astronomical cash venture.
